Guided by Donna O’Connor
Donna is a master breathwork instructor who has trained with Johannes Egbert’s from Breathless, combining this with her knowledge of pranayama from her yoga background. Her mission is to spread knowledge on how breathing efficiently can effectively change your life. Our breath informs every aspect of our lives: our sleep quality, our stress levels, our immunity to diseases, how long we live and so much more. Unfortunately, these days most of us breathe incorrectly and it's terrible for our health. This breathwork ceremony will open your eyes to just how powerful your breath is and leave you feeling motivated to learn more about this free gift that we all have access to - our breath.
Breathing, beyond the basic need for survival, acts as a bridge between spirit, mind, and body; between the conscious and the subconscious. “Breakthrough Breathwork” is one of the quickest ways to open the heart and energise the body. Many describe the breakthrough breathwork ceremony as transformational and reflect on an experience filled with release in which they can let go of negative feelings and trauma.
Breakthrough Breathwork combines the wisdom of ancient healing practices with modern techniques to unlock your potential. It’s a dynamic fusion that connects the elements of your being to achieve a state of harmony.
Decades of scientific research indicate the benefits of breathwork can include:
Reduced stress, anxiety or depression
Improved deep sleep
Enhanced cardiovascular performance
Improved respiratory function
Increased energy levels
Enhanced immunity recovery/resilience
Reduction in pain levels
In this workshop you will learn about the benefits of breathwork, along with some practices you can do at home to regulate your nervous system. You will be guided through both slower-than-normal breathing and faster-than-normal normal breathing to open your heart and let your breath set you free. After we finish breathing there will be the opportunity to go into the ice bath (guided for those that are new to or tentative about this) to fully experience the natural high we get from both breathing and cold immersion.
